Desde 2020, se ha convertido en un CENTRO COMUNITARIO (Steenweg 246 9810 Eke) para y por los residentes de Eke-Landuit.
La escuelita del barrio tiene una historia muy larga en Landuit. Se construyó en 1900 y funcionó como escuela infantil hasta el verano pasado (2019). Pero las puertas se cerraron irrevocablemente debido a la falta de alumnos.
En una reunión, ya se forjaron los primeros planes para hacer algo con el edificio vacío. Este edificio forma parte de la historia de este barrio. Dejarlo caer en el abandono o incluso demolérselo sería muy lamentable.
Por ello, un grupo de seis vecinos ha formado un comité para asegurar la preservación de esta escuelita.
