Esta pintoresca torre forma parte de nuestro patrimonio nacional. Desde 1955, domina el paisaje. No has estado en Bredene si no la has visto. Con su aspecto icónico, encanta desde lejos. Y puedes incluso subir a ella.
A lo largo de los años, ha pasado por diferentes restauraciones. En 1977, los azulejos de cerámica fueron cambiados por ladrillos y en 1994, la chaqueta recibió sus franjas azul y blanca. Su pequeño tejado rojo la hace aún más simpática.
En 1995, también se le añadió una barandilla y diez grandes ventanas que te ofrecen una grandiosa vista panorámica. Te pones a la altura de las gaviotas. En la planta baja hay una exposición permanente sobre la captación de agua y sobre el papel del agua en nuestra vida diaria. Una atracción de primera para disfrutar de paso.
La torre de agua se puede visitar junto con un guía. Estas visitas se pueden reservar en el mostrador del servicio de turismo, Kapelstraat 76 en Bredene.
