Esta capilla pertenece al castillo de Sainte-fontaine.

Fue construido en el siglo XII en estilo románico. Está rodeado por un cementerio y un notable seto de tejo.

Primero fue dedicada a la Santísima Virgen y elevada al rango de iglesia parroquial durante el último cuarto del siglo XIV . Conservó esa función hasta 1820, cuando pasó al rango de capilla de la iglesia de Pailhe, villa que fuera cabecera del municipio.

Debido a la falta de mantenimiento, la caída de rayos y algunos actos de vandalismo, esta notable propiedad se ha ido deteriorando gradualmente. En 2019 se decidió restaurarlo y en 2023 estará en construcción la capilla.
