Monumento en memoria de los soldados canadienses del Regimiento Alconquin que murieron en la Batalla de 't Molentje contra los alemanes los días 13 y 14 de septiembre de 1944.
Durante la liberación de Bélgica, los canadienses encontraron una fuerte resistencia de las tropas alemanas en Molentjesbruggen en Moerkerke. En este lugar tuvieron que cruzar los 2 canales. Un intento de avanzar aquí terminó fatal para la infantería canadiense. Las casas civiles y el molino fueron alcanzados por un intenso fuego.
