Nyon y la región alrededor de Nyon fue el área central de la aventura de Tintín "El asunto Calculus". Tintín, el detective de dibujos animados creado por Hergé, va en busca del profesor Calculus en la región de Nyon. Publicada en 1956, "El asunto Calculus" da testimonio de la meticulosa investigación de localización de Hergé. Con motivo de su centenario en 2007, un folleto trilingüe presenta este itinerario siguiendo los pasos de Tintín, no solo en Nyon, sino también en Ginebra, Rolle y Yvoire.
