Bad Ems es una ciudad situada en el Estado federado de Renania-Palatinado , Alemania. Es la sede del distrito rural de Rin-Lahn, famoso por su balneario junto al Río Lahn. Como uno de los grandes balnearios de Europa, Bad Ems es Patrimonio de la Humanidad.[2]
En la época romana se construyó un castillo en Bad Ems como parte del Limes Germánico. No queda prácticamente nada de aquella estructura. En los bosques alrededor del pueblo, sin embargo, existen distintos restos de la antigua frontera romana.
