La ciudad de Prettin es una pedanía de la ciudad de Annaburg en el distrito de Wittenberg en Sajonia-Anhalt. Hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2010, Prettin era una pequeña ciudad independiente con las pedanías de Prettin y Hohndorf.
El lugar se encuentra a unos 40 km al sureste de Wittenberg y a unos 17 km al norte de Torgau, en las llanuras de la orilla este del Elba, al oeste de la Heide de Annaburg. Esta es en su mayoría un campo de entrenamiento del Bundeswehr y, por lo tanto, es una zona restringida. Al sur, Prettin limita con Sajonia.
