Hallschlag es un municipio localizado en el oeste de Alemania, dentro del estado federado de Renania Palatinado. Está situado al noroeste de Tréveris, en la región natural de Eifel y en una posición fronteriza con Bélgica.
La primera mención que se conoce de Hallschlag está en un documento datado en 1322.[3] Su historia durante la Edad Media y Contemporánea está ligada en gran medida al lugar fortificado de Kronenburg situado en sus cercanías.[3]
