El reserva natural Gran Turbera es un pantano alto en el noreste de Renania del Norte-Westfalia, en los municipios de Lübbecke y Hille. El pantano se encuentra en una llanura entre las montañas Wiehen y el canal Mittelland y, con 467 ha, es el pantano alto más significativo de Westfalia.
El pantano se sitúa en la zona fronteriza de la ciudad de Lübbecke y el municipio de Hille en el distrito de Minden-Lübbecke. Al norte, está limitado por el canal Mittelland. Desde hace algunos años, también se considera parte del "reserva natural Gran Turbera" el área que se extiende hacia el este, una franja de 2 a 3 km al sur del canal que incluye las praderas de Minden, aunque se trata de praderas húmedas que se utilizan de manera agrícola extensiva.
