La presa de Obermaubach en Obermaubach, en el municipio de Kreuzau en el distrito de Düren, NRW, fue construida en los años 1933 y 1934 y sirve como un estanque de compensación para los afluentes de la Rur con diferentes caudales, así como para regular una entrega de agua lo más uniforme posible al Rur. El embalse se encuentra tanto en el territorio del municipio de Kreuzau como en la parte superior del área de los municipios de Hürtgenwald y Nideggen.
