Bantikow es un distrito de la comunidad de Wusterhausen/Dosse en el distrito de Ostprignitz-Ruppin en el noreste de Brandeburgo. El 1 de abril de 2010, Bantikow tenía 453 habitantes. El pueblo está situado en el llamado Untersee y ha ganado importancia para el turismo en tiempos recientes debido a su ubicación paisajísticamente favorable.
La arqueología, basándose en pruebas de asentamientos seguros, estima que el lugar de Bantikow tiene más de 1000 años. Por primera vez se menciona por escrito en 1307 como Banttecowe. En este año, los condes de Schwerin emitieron un documento para el monasterio de Stepenitz en Bantikow. En 1364 se menciona como bantekowe, en 1487 como Bantkow, y en 1753 como Bantikow. La forma básica del nombre del lugar es la palabra eslavónica antigua Badk-ow, que significa lugar de un Badk. El nombre personal Badk es una forma corta de nombres como Badislav.
