La casa en la calle Goethe 14 de la ciudad balnearia de Hesse, Bad Nauheim, se hizo mundialmente famosa por el hecho de que fue habitada por Elvis Presley desde el 3 de febrero de 1959 hasta el 2 de marzo de 1960.
En el marco de su servicio militar en el Ejército de EE. UU., Presley llegó el miércoles 1 de octubre de 1958 al puerto de Bremerhaven en el transporte de tropas USS Randall. Desde allí, tomó un tren hacia Friedberg, donde Presley prestó su servicio en los Ray Barracks durante los próximos 17 meses.
