El castillo de Herborn se encuentra sobre la ciudad de Herborn en el distrito de Lahn-Dill y se originó a partir del antiguo castillo de Herborn. Está protegido como monumento.
El castillo de Herborn fue construido a finales del siglo XIII como castillo en la ladera y estaba conectado con las murallas de la ciudad de Herborn. Las murallas de la ciudad se erigieron tras la concesión de los derechos de ciudad en 1251. El castillo se encuentra dentro de este muro circular. Fue mencionado por primera vez en documentos en 1350. El castillo era el centro del mercado de Herborn, que los condes de Nassau tenían como feudo de los landgraves de Hesse.
