El área natural protegida de Kahler Asten es un área natural protegida de 48,6 ha ubicada en el Kahler Asten, en el Rothaargebirge. Se encuentra en el área urbana de Winterberg, al oeste del núcleo urbano de Winterberg, en el distrito de Hochsauerlandkreis, en Renania del Norte-Westfalia.
El área natural protegida de Kahler Asten se sitúa en el parque natural Sauerland-Rothaargebirge, en las altitudes cercanas a la cima del Kahler Asten. Su límite occidental es la frontera municipal de Winterberg con Schmallenberg, y en el NSG se encuentra cerca de su límite occidental la fuente de Lenne. En el municipio de Schmallenberg, las áreas naturales protegidas de Kahler Asten y Oberes Lennetal están adyacentes.
