A la izquierda, o mejor dicho, en la parte superior izquierda, se encuentra la Fernsehturm de 365 metros de altura . Desde el restaurante giratorio en la 'bola' puedes ver más allá de la ciudad. Y al revés: perderse en Berlín es casi imposible con este punto de orientación construido en 1969. Esta torre forma el verdadero centro de Berlín Alexanderplatz. La parte más activa de esta plaza, con Kaufhof y oficinas, se encuentra al otro lado de las vías.
