Levern es una localidad en el municipio de Stemwede en el distrito de Minden-Lübbecke, en Renania del Norte-Westfalia. Tiene alrededor de 2000 habitantes. Desde 1984, el lugar es reconocido como un lugar de recreo. Hasta 2023, este estatus está asegurado.
Levern fue mencionado por primera vez en un documento entre los años 969 y 996. En 1227, Konrad I de Rüdenberg, obispo de Minden desde 1209 hasta 1236, fundó un monasterio cisterciense en Levern. El monasterio ya no existía en 1543; durante la Reforma, el monasterio fue transformado en una institución noble de mujeres laicas.
