Alverskirchen es una de las dos aldeas del municipio de Everswinkel en el distrito de Warendorf, en Renania del Norte-Westfalia. En el marco de la reorganización municipal, las dos comunidades hasta entonces independientes de Alverskirchen y Everswinkel se unieron el 1 de enero de 1975 para formar el nuevo municipio de Everswinkel.
El pueblo se encuentra aproximadamente a 15 kilómetros al este de Münster. Se formó alrededor del año 1200 con la fundación de una iglesia bajo Hermann II. de Lippe, que está dedicada a Santa Águeda. El nombre del lugar se remonta a un hombre llamado Albin, Alvin, Albrie o Alvrie. Él hizo construir la iglesia o proporcionó el terreno para ello. Por primera vez, el lugar apareció bajo el nombre de Alvinskerken.
