Vaalserquartier es un lugar que pertenece al distrito de Laurensberg en Aachen y se encuentra justo en la frontera con Vaals en los Países Bajos. Vaalserquartier se puede alcanzar a través de la B 1 o de la Maastrichterlaan N 278.
El nombre Vaalserquartier data del temprano siglo XIV y aún refleja la antigua división del antiguo Imperio de Aachen, según la cual esta área era una de los siete llamados Quartiere frente a las murallas de la ciudad de Aachen. Un signo visible de esa época es la torre de vigilancia Gut Beeck, que aún existe, pero ha sido renovada fundamentalmente y pertenece al Imperio de Aachen, así como la piedra del águila en el antiguo punto de cruce de frontera Kleine Wache. Asimismo, se pueden encontrar restos tanto del foso interior como del exterior de Aachen al suroeste de Vaalserquartier.
