Blokhus es un pueblo danés incluido dentro del municipio de Jammerbugt, en la región de Jutlandia Septentrional.El origen de la localidad se remonta a finales del siglo XVI cuando era un lugar donde algunos habitantes de Aalborg tenían pequeñas instalaciones para la pesca y salazón.[3] Posteriormente se fueron construyendo almacenes donde almacenar mercancía —principalmente carne, cereal y mantequilla— destinada al comercio con Noruega.[3] El lugar comenzó a ser conocido como Blokhus por la tipología de estos almacenes de madera.[3]
