Merindad de Valdivielso es un municipio español de la provincia de Burgos, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. Está situado en el valle de Valdivielso.[1]El municipio se encuentra situado en la comarca de Las Merindades, a lo largo del Valle de Valdivielso, limitado al norte por los farallones de la Sierra de la Tesla. Su flanco meridional lo cierran las últimas estribaciones de las parameras calcáreas. El perfecto valle formado por estas dos estructuras geológicas –cubiertas en su mayor parte por espesas y variadas masas forestales– es recorrido longitudinalmente por el río Ebro.
