Cánoves[1] o Cánoves y Samalús[2] es un municipio de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cataluña, España. Perteneciente a la provincia de Barcelona, en la comarca del Vallés Oriental. Situado en la vertiente sur del macizo del Montseny. Limita con Tagamanent, San Pedro de Vilamajor, La Garriga, Montmany-Figaró y Las Franquesas del Vallés. Se encuentra localizada a 42 km de Barcelona y 13 km de Granollers. Se formó a mediados del siglo XIX por la unión de los de Cánoves y Samalús, si bien no adquirió el nombre oficial actual hasta 1989.
