Collado Villalba es un municipio y una localidad española de la Comunidad de Madrid, ubicada al noroeste de la Comunidad de Madrid, a 40 km de la capital del país, en la vertiente sur de la sierra de Guadarrama. Cuenta con una población de 62 152 habitantes .Collado Villalba está situado en un amplio valle en torno al río Guadarrama, y rodeado excepto por el sur por montañas entre 1000 y 2000 m s. n. m., que de oeste a este son: sierra de Malagón, sierra de Guadarrama y sierra de Hoyo de Manzanares. El clima de la comarca es mediterráneo-continental templado y húmedo. El relieve de Collado Villalba está formado por llanuras, lomas y cerros, con la media y alta montaña presente en sus cercanías.
