Bellver de Cerdaña[2][3][4][5] es un municipio español, situado en la provincia de Lérida, comunidad autónoma de Cataluña, en la comarca de la Baja Cerdaña. Hasta mediados del siglo XX se denominaba Bellver.[3]
El municipio es un conglomerado de diferentes pueblos, masías aisladas y vecindarios diversos que conforman uno de los más grandes municipios de la comarca. Bellver es el principal núcleo de la subcomarca de la Batllia, situada al sudoeste de la Cerdaña, y que también incluye los municipios de Prulláns y Riu. Esta porción sureña de la comarca también es llamada por sus habitantes Pequeña Cerdaña. Administrativamente pertenece a la provincia de Lérida, aunque sus hechos históricos y geográficos la vinculan estrechamente con Puigcerdá, capital de la comarca, con la Seo de Urgel y con Ripoll y Vich, más allá de la Collada de Tosas. Bellver se encuentra a medio camino de Puigcerdá y Seo de Urgel.
