Sotresgudo es un municipio[1] y localidad española de la provincia de Burgos, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, comarca de Odra-Pisuerga, partido judicial de Burgos.Una teoría lo hace derivar de Subter Scutum por ‘bajo el escudo’ o protección [3] de la Peña de Amaya .[4]
