Ronda es un municipio y ciudad española perteneciente a Andalucía, situada en el noroeste de la provincia de Málaga, a unos 100 kilómetros de la ciudad de Málaga. Es la cabeza del partido judicial homónimo y la capital de la comarca de la Serranía de Ronda. En 2018 contaba con 33 978 habitantes, que lo convierten en el segundo municipio más poblado del interior de la provincia tras Antequera.[4] Su término municipal se extiende sobre una meseta conocida como depresión de Ronda por las sierras que la circundan. Tiene una superficie de 397,62 km² y una densidad de población de 86,18 hab/km².
