El Franco es un concejo español de la comunidad autónoma del Principado de Asturias y un lugar de dicho concejo, de la parroquia de Valdepares.El concejo de El Franco limita al norte con el mar Cantábrico, al sur con Castropol y Boal, al este con Coaña y al oeste con Tapia de Casariego. Cuenta con una población de 3834 habitantes . Sus principales núcleos son: La Caridad, que es su capital, Miudes, Arancedo, Valdepares y Viavélez.
