La anteiglesia de Echevarria[3] es un municipio de la provincia de Vizcaya, País Vasco , perteneciente a la comarca del Lea Artibai con una población de 748 habitantes según los datos del INE correspondientes al año 2017. La extensión del municipio es de 18,10 km².El nombre completo de la antigua anteiglesia es San Andrés de Echevarría. Las anteiglesias vizcaínas solían incluir en su nombre oficial el de la advocación religiosa de su parroquia. En este caso la parroquia de Echevarría está consagrada a San Andrés Apóstol. Además en el caso de Echevarría, había otras dos anteiglesias homónimas en Vizcaya de las que tenía que distinguirse: San Agustín de Echevarría y San Esteban de Echévarri.
