Alginet es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Situado en la provincia de Valencia, en la comarca de la Ribera Alta. Cuenta con 13 100 habitantes .
El topónimo deriva del árabe الجنات , «los huertos» o «los campos de regadío».[1][2]
