La Ametlla de Mar[1][2][3] [4] es una población de la comarca catalana del Bajo Ebro, en la provincia de Tarragona . También se conoce por el nombre de La Cala.[5][1]
Está situado en el centro del golfo de San Jorge, entre pequeñas calas y playas de arena fina blanca y otras de piedras donde los pinos tocan las aguas del mar Mediterráneo. La población, de 6787 habitantes,[6] es un típico pueblo de pescadores.
