Esteríbar —más comúnmente Valle de Esteríbar— [1] es un valle y municipio español de la Comunidad Foral de Navarra, situado en la Merindad de Sangüesa, en la comarca de Auñamendi y a 20 km de la capital de la comunidad, Pamplona. Su población en 2017 es de 2629 habitantes .
El actual nombre oficial del municipio es Esteribar. Se trata de la versión euskera del nombre, ya que según las normas ortográficas modernas de la lengua vasca, carece de tildes. Generalmente se suele considerar Esteríbar como el nombre en castellano del municipio y Esteribar el nombre en euskera, aunque en ambos idiomas suele utilizarse hoy en día la variante sin tilde. La pronunciación es prácticamente idéntica, aunque la -s- es más sonora en euskera. Antes de imponerse la forma Esteríbar, el valle se llamó Ezteribar, Azteribar y Esteribar.
