Almadén de la Plata es un municipio español de la provincia de Sevilla, Andalucía. Está situado en el cuadrante noroccidental de la provincia, en la comarca de la Sierra Norte y delimitando las provincias de Huelva y Sevilla.
Su núcleo urbano está sumergido entre los altos y abruptos montes de Sierra Morena. Su término municipal queda delimitado por el río Viar por el este y la rivera de Cala por el oeste. Otros cursos de agua mencionables que discurren por su término municipal son los arroyos Gargantafría, de los Molinos, Cezaílla y de la Mojonera así como los barrancos de la Higuera y el de Barra.
