La Santa Iglesia Basílica Catedral Metropolitana de San Salvador de Oviedo es una catedral de estilo gótico que se encuentra en la ciudad de Oviedo . Es conocida también como Sancta Ovetensis, refiriéndose a la calidad y cantidad de las reliquias que contiene.[1]Comenzó a edificarse a finales del siglo XIII por la sala capitular y el claustro, y su construcción se prolongó durante tres siglos hasta el remate de la torre a mediados del siglo XVI. Posteriormente se añadiría una girola en el siglo XVII además de diversas capillas anexas a las naves laterales.
