Viana es un municipio y una ciudad española de la Comunidad Foral de Navarra. Situada en la merindad de Estella, en la comarca de Estella Occidental y a 81 km de la capital de la comunidad, Pamplona. Su población en 2017 era de 4078 habitantes .Refundada en 1219 por Sancho VII el Fuerte, recibió el título de ciudad en 1630 y se la llama Muy Noble y Leal Ciudad de Viana Cabeza de Principado del antiguo reino de Navarra. Conserva parte del conjunto amurallado del siglo XIII y numerosas casas blasonadas, además de importantes monumentos históricos.
