La cueva de los Aviones es un yacimiento arqueológico y paleoantropológico ubicado en el término municipal de Cartagena , e integrado administrativamente en la diputación de San Antonio Abad. Se encuentra al nivel del mar, en el piedemonte del promontorio que cierra la bahía de Cartagena por el oeste. La gruta, conocida ya anteriormente por haber sido habitada por el Homo neanderthalensis, se hizo mundialmente famosa en 2010, cuando se encontraron conchas de cerca de 50 000 años de antigüedad, las últimas dataciones de los pigmentos de dichas conchas les atribuyen una antigüedad de hace 115 000 años aproximadamente.
