La autovía del Nordeste o A-2[1] es una de las seis autovías radiales de España y comunica Madrid con Barcelona pasando por Guadalajara, Zaragoza y Lérida. Es parte de la E-90 de la Red de Carreteras Europeas.
Esta vía canaliza, sirviéndose del tramo La Junquera-Barcelona de la autopista del Mediterráneo, en gran medida el tráfico procedente de los puntos de Europa que se sitúan al este de los Pirineos y que se dirige principalmente al centro de la península ibérica incluyendo Portugal. Mientras que, por otra parte, la autovía del Norte es el mejor acceso a la península ibérica desde el oeste del Pirineo.
