El Monasterio de Santa María de La Rábida, comúnmente denominado Monasterio de La Rábida, es en realidad un convento[1] perteneciente a los franciscanos. Se encuentra en el término municipal de Palos de la Frontera, en la provincia andaluza de Huelva . Fue erigido entre los siglos XIV-XV. Destacan, por su interés artístico, la iglesia gótico-mudéjar, las estancias decoradas con frescos de Daniel Vázquez Díaz, el claustro y el museo, donde se conservan numerosos objetos conmemorativos del Descubrimiento de América. En la iglesia se encuentra la imagen de la advocación mariana que da nombre al monasterio, Santa María de la Rábida, también denominada Virgen de los Milagros. Se trata de una escultura de estilo gótico, del siglo XIII aproximadamente, realizada en alabastro.
