El Instituto Barcelona de Estudios Internacionales [1] es un instituto interuniversitario de investigación y un centro de enseñanza de posgrado situado en Barcelona. El IBEI fue creado en el año 2004 de manera conjunta por cuatro universidades públicas de Barcelona , la Universidad Abierta de Cataluña y la Fundación CIDOB , con el propósito de impulsar la formación avanzada e investigación en Relaciones Internacionales y materias afines. El actual director del instituto es Jacint Jordana, catedrático de Ciencia Política de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra, su presidente es Narcís Serra, ex Ministro de Defensa y ex Vicepresidente primero del Gobierno de España.
