Ágreda es un municipio y localidad española de la provincia de Soria, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. Su población asciende a 3006 habitantes . Tiene el título de villa.Integrado en la la comarca de Tierra de Ágreda, se sitúa a 52 kilómetros de la capital provincial. La villa ejerce de centro comarcal de servicios del noreste de la provincia de Soria. Su rico patrimonio, así como las fiestas populares de la Virgen de los Milagros, de San Miguel Arcángel y de agosto atraen a un turismo importante. Forma parte de la diócesis de Osma-Soria, la cual es diócesis sufragánea de la archidiócesis de Burgos. Desde diciembre de 2008 está hermanada con el estado estadounidense de Nuevo México.[2]
