Esta es una de las cinco estaciones nunca utilizadas a lo largo de la Vía Verde de la Sierra. Las estaciones de Puerto Serrano, Coripe y Olvera, actualmente ofrecen servicios de hotel y restaurante con cocina tradicional y la posibilidad de alquilar una bicicleta .
La Vía Verde de la Sierra discurre a lo largo de 36 km al pie de las montañas más meridionales de España, entre las localidades de Olvera y Puerto Serrano . Es un lecho de ferrocarril nunca usado con 30 túneles y 4 puentes. El resultado es que este camino siempre tiene una ligera pendiente y es un camino predilecto para ciclistas, caminantes y jinetes.
Este es por tanto el punto de inicio o punto final de la Ruta.
