El Louvre y su pirámide fueron representados siendo destruidos en las escenas iniciales de la película de 2004, Team America: World Police. También apareció en la película de 2006, El código Da Vinci. Se permitió al equipo de filmación grabar dentro del Louvre durante parte de la película. Mientras que algunas de las escenas que se mostraron como si estuvieran en el Louvre en realidad se filmaron en un set, la mayoría de las escenas en la zona principal del museo se rodaron en el lugar.
