Moustiers-Sainte-Marie es conocido por su faience. Este es un tipo especial de cerámica. La cerámica de Moustiers se caracteriza por su decoración vidriada. Un monje de Faenza, en Italia, enseñó a un alfarero local, Pierre Clérissy, en 1668 el secreto del este para hacer cerámica estañada. Así nació una tradición. La verdadera producción no comenzó hasta 1689 con vajilla blanco-azul. Hacia 1710, surgió la decoración Berain. Se vivieron tiempos de gloria.
