Chalon-sur-Saône es una ciudad y comuna francesa situada en el departamento de Saona y Loira, del cual es una subprefectura, de la región de Borgoña-Franco Condado.Chalon-sur-Saône forma parte de la región histórica de Borgoña. Está ubicada en el río Saona. Fue una vez un puerto fluvial bien conocido como un punto para distribuir vinos locales aguas arriba y abajo del río Saona.
