Blanquefort es una comuna y población de Francia, en la región de Nueva Aquitania, departamento de Gironda, en el distrito de Burdeos. Es el chef-lieu del cantón de su nombre.La comuna tiene una extensión de 3372 hectáreas, pero una buena parte de su territorio es inconstruible. En efecto, una gran porción de terreno próxima al Garona y al río Jalle de Blanquefort está formada por antiguos pantanos. Estos han sido desecados a partir del siglo XVII por holandeses, pero todavía quedan zonas inundables. Esta zona del territorio sirve como lugar de pastaje para ganado.
