El palacio de las Tullerías fue un palacio imperial y real situado en el centro de París, formando, junto al Louvre un único complejo arquitectónico.
Construido como maison de plaisance para la reina madre Catalina de Médicis, el palacio se usó raramente hasta 1789. En plena efervescencia de la Revolución francesa, Luis XVI y su familia trasladaron su residencia de Versalles a las Tullerías, a partir de entonces, el palacio se convertiría en la principal residencia de los monarcas franceses en el siglo XIX. Por metonimia, "las Tullerías" pasó a designar la jefatura del Estado francés y fue el centro político de Francia de 1789 a 1870.
