La Fondation Calvet es una fundación de arte que lleva el nombre de Esprit Calvet, quien dejó sus colecciones y biblioteca a ella en 1810. La fundación mantiene un museo y una biblioteca, con apoyo estatal. Los legados originales de pinturas, objetos arqueológicos, monedas y medallas, y escultura medieval han sido ampliados por muchos otros legados, y un depósito significativo de obras de arte del Louvre. Las colecciones arqueológicas y la escultura medieval ahora se albergan por separado en el "Musée Lapidaire", que una vez fue la capilla del Colegio Jesuita. El museo principal se encuentra en una mansión de la ciudad del siglo XVIII, a la que se han añadido edificios modernos; la biblioteca legada por Calvet y la importante colección de más de 12,000 monedas y medallas se han trasladado a un lugar diferente en la ciudad.
