Abadía benedictina fundada en el año 778, la Abadía de Santa María puede presumir de ser la abadía carolingia más antigua de Cataluña. La iglesia románica de tres naves alberga un gran órgano Schmidt del siglo XVIII. El claustro gótico del siglo XIII se encuentra junto a la iglesia. En la plaza de la iglesia, una tumba sagrada, un sarcófago del siglo IV, produce inexplicablemente agua clara del suelo
