El ábside y el coro datan del siglo XI, mientras que la nave posterior data del siglo XVIII.
La iglesia destaca especialmente por su Virgen con el Niño de piedra caliza policromada y dorada del siglo XIII, procedente del priorato de Belroy, y una Virgen de la Piedad del Maestro de Chaource1.
Es la puerta de entrada al pueblo.
Conocida desde 1162, formaba parte de una parroquia de la diócesis de Langres y del decanato de Bar-sur-Aube. En 1770, fue diezmada únicamente por la abadía de Clairvaux.
