Situado a orillas del Dives y rodeado por un foso, el castillo de Carel data de finales del siglo XVII y principios del XVIII. Está construido sobre una antigua residencia y los edificios que lo rodean forman un elegante conjunto clásico que se ve reforzado por las líneas puras de su palomar que data del siglo XVI
El conjunto está clasificado como Monumento Histórico.
