Situado en el corazón del pueblo, su construcción se remonta al siglo VI. Al principio era una simple capilla dedicada al culto de Santa Vivien, obispo de Saintes. Amenazada de destrucción en varias ocasiones, sobre todo durante las invasiones bárbaras y las guerras de religión, fue restaurada y embellecida en el siglo XII, época en la que se construyó su notable ábside románico, que sigue en pie. En 1957, la iglesia recibió un nuevo campanario. Su estilo arquitectónico, un tanto sorprendente, sigue siendo una fuente inagotable de conversación para visitantes y lugareños.
