La iglesia de Baroville data del siglo XII.
De esa época data el ábside pentagonal. Hoy, sin embargo, esta iglesia dedicada a Saint-Etienne tiene una silueta muy diferente a la de antes . Durante la reconstrucción del siglo XVIII, el edificio adoptó la forma de una sala rectangular.
La parroquia quedó bajo la autoridad de la Abadía de Clairvaux , que fue su único señor hasta la Revolución. El señorío contribuyó al desarrollo económico de la abadía gracias a sus tierras, viñedos y bosques. La iglesia no figura en la lista, pero alberga varias estatuas catalogadas e inscritas, así como varias obras de arte notables, incluido un altar mayor y un retablo del siglo XVIII, catalogados en 1976, y una piedra caliza policromada del siglo XIV. Estatua de la Virgen y el Niño, clasificada en 1908.
